We will explore how miscommunication, personality or work style differences,
unexpected changes and other factors can create friction in the workplace. We learn
how fine tuning our self-awareness and communication skills can make transitions
easier, address differences, and empower employees to responsibly manage issues
themselves.

Participants learn the basic principles and practices of interpersonal
communication and conflict management including how we listen, acknowledge others,
uncover core issues, deescalate strong emotions and provide meaningful feedback. The
class is highly interactive and utilizes in-class demos, discussions, small group activities
and skill development exercises.
