ADA Effective Communication: Getting It Right in Court Settings with Julie Ballinger

Under the ADA, effective communication means that information must be as clear and understandable for people with disabilities as it is for those without. The standard for effectiveness is mutual understanding between the court and the individual. This training will highlight best practices for ensuring that communication with individuals who have communication-related disabilities, including court users and their companions, is equally effective and accessible.
