SUMMARY:New Employee Orientation
DESCRIPTION:The Administrative Office of the Courts Human Resource Division (AOC HRD) conducts a statewide comprehensive hybrid (in-person and virtual) New & Existing Employee Orientation (NEO) monthly\, offered in Santa Fe and Albuquerque on a rotating basis.  The NEO is an onboarding process focused on welcoming and connecting judicial employees. The NEO includes five (5) modules. The modules covered are: Structure of the Judiciary and Background of the AOC\, an overview of the NM Judicial Branch Personnel Rules Part I and II and the NMJB Judicial Code of Conduct\, a training on Loss Control\, Fraud Reporting\, Drug & Alcohol Prevention and Testing\, Computer and Internet Use\, an overview of the Harassment\, Discrimination\, and Retaliation Prevention Policy\, and an overview of Benefits\, including PERA and Payroll. DESCRIPTION:Monthly series on Motivational Interviewing \nThe first month will include a two-day in-person training\, and the following months will be virtual.\nTopics include introductory principles and advance skills in motivational interviewing. \nThe Motivational Interviewing (MI) training equips judicial staff with practical tools to work with individuals who may be hesitant or resistant\, helping them build trust\, foster openness\, and create a safe environment for communication. Staff will learn to work collaboratively\, guiding individuals to explore motivations\, resolve ambivalence\, and take meaningful steps to improve their situation\, rather than directing them.
